<aside> 📜 System Innovation
Innovation often happens in silos, leading great ideas to fail because they overlook the bigg er picture. This semester at Innolabs, we’re shifting the focus to systemic innovation—tackling complex challenges with a holistic approach.
You’ll learn essential tools to map systems, analyse problems, and design impactful interventions. But we won’t stop there. We’ll take it a step further by building sustainable organisations designed to bring those interventions to life.

Kickoff 06.05.2025
It all starts with a problem! During our Kickoff or Day 0 we will explain the course methodology in detail, explore the problem space and define the system boundaries. We will set the foundations for our innovation weekend.
Day I 10.05.2025
On our first day we will focus on analysing and mapping. We will explore the system from multiple perspectives and work together to gain a holistic overview. Furthermore we will ideate on possible interventions.
Day II 11.05.2025
Change doesn’t stop here! On our second day, we will design and build organisations to bring all our ideas into reality. We will unpack the full entrepreneurship toolkit to bring a sustainable change into our system.
We believe that diversity is key to driving innovation forward. That's why we encourage students from all departments and diverse backgrounds to apply for our course. By bringing together a variety of technical, economic, and societal perspectives, we can collaborate and innovate in exciting new ways.
So far two batches of students (42 students) have completed the InnoLabs course, coming from TUM, LMU, University of Augsburg, University of St. Gallen, and Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. In the past students ideated in the spaces of SDGs such as Sustainable Cities and Communities, Good Health and Well-being, and Zero Hunger.
Impact Innovation Labs is a Powered By CDTM course and is part of the larger ImpACTup! initiative, which is designed for students from all backgrounds, disciplines, and faculties.
