The Foundational Course introduces entrepreneurship as an effective tool for implementing sustainable innovations. Students learn how to tackle our time's most pressing societal and environmental challenges. Through interdisciplinary sessions facilitated by professors and speakers from multiple faculties at LMU Munich, UniA, and the CDTM, students learn about impact as a guiding principle for entrepreneurship. The course covers the foundation of impact entrepreneurship such as developing sustainable business models, identifying key stakeholders, holistically managing and measuring impact, financing, and long-term sustainability of startups. Students develop an impact-oriented mindset and skillset, gain a holistic perspective on value creation and destruction, and translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications. The skills and insights gained are applicable in academic and professional settings and everyday life, empowering students to make a meaningful difference across various contexts.
